Lady, Lady

And back to my much happier bard. She wrote this one for a dear new friend she is still coming to know. 🙂

Lady, Lady

Who walks with lady’s grace?
Wears a smile upon her face?
Who shares a rugged pace
And not a hint betrays?

Lady, lady, dance again!
Turn and twirl, cast your eyes within,
Mysteries yet to begin
Lie wait in every twist and spin…

Who walks with the lady’s grace?
Wears a smile upon her face?
Keeps the wanderer’s hurried pace
And not a hint betrays?

In proper society she is known
Yet she ventures far from home.
Knows the pain of blade cutting to bone
And where in the land such danger may roam.

Lady, lady, dance again!
Turn and twirl, cast your eyes within,
Mysteries yet to begin
Lie wait in every twist and spin…

High society knows her name
Yet nobles could never guess her game!
She has no interest in social fame;
Her goals have higher, purer aim.

Who walks with a lady’s grace?
Wears a smile upon her face?
Finds it simple to keep the pace
Of wanderers and not a glimpse betrays?

Lady, lady, dance again!
Turn and twirl, cast your eyes within,
Mysteries yet to begin
Lie wait in every twist and spin…
