Shaemoor’s Eyes

Hoo boy, this one here is a song for the world of Guild Wars 2. the IC author for this should be anonymous if you choose to use it in an in game RP, but it is, of course, my work OOC, and you might point anyone you sing it to this way if you like. 😉

Seriously though, I don’t require you to cite me, just not to say the work is your own. Enjoy!

Shaemoor’s Eyes

Smoke climbs the blue skies above Shaemoor’s eyes
Where villagers are all wont to live their long lives
In peace and prosperity, with families besides
So smoke climbs the blue skies above Shaemoor’s eyes

The village, so quiet, is nestled below
The walls of Divinity’s Reach, made of stone.
So high the walls, so bright the moon’s glow
On the village, so quiet, that nestles below.

There the creek bubbles, there the birds sing
Each one has music that it longs to bring
Into the daylight, perhaps on heart’s string
So hear the creek bubble, and hear the birds sing

See how the farmer toils o’er his field
With loving devotion to bring forth its yield?
To those here in Shaemoor, the Six have revealed
That they be the farmers who toil o’er this field.

Feel the warm sunlight of a summer’s day,
And hear the sweet voices of children at play,
Watch as they gather, and travel this way
‘Neath the warm sunlight of this summer’s day.

How many heroes have walked o’er that road?
They follow in footsteps they could never know
Of all those before them with dreams of their own
Oh how many heroes have walked o’er that road?

Smoke climbs the blue skies above Shaemoor’s eyes
Where villagers are all wont to live their long lives
In peace and prosperity, with families besides
So smoke climbs the blue skies above Shaemoor’s eyes.

Disclaimer: For the record, Shaemoor is a town in Tyria, and the Six is the faith of the humans of Tyria in Guild Wars 2. Divinity’s Reach is the main human city in Guild Wars 2. To these things, and these names, I lay no claim. My only claim is in the arrangement of these particular words.
